Family & Advocates Inclusion

Working With Families and Representatives

We recognise the important role families, advocates, and representatives play in a person’s life. With the individual’s consent, we maintain open and constructive communication with those involved in their support network.

Our aim is to build trust through transparency, reliability, and respectful partnership.

How We Involve Families

Where appropriate and agreed, families and representatives may be involved in:

  • Support planning

  • Goal setting

  • Review meetings

  • Transition planning

  • Risk discussions

  • Progress feedback

Communication and Updates

We provide appropriate updates while respecting confidentiality and the individual’s wishes. Communication methods are agreed in advance and recorded in the support plan.

Raising Concerns

Families and representatives can raise concerns or complaints at any time. We provide clear guidance on how to do this and respond through a structured and time-bound process.

Supervision and Performance Oversight

Staff receive regular supervision, competency observation, and annual appraisal. Supervision includes practice review, safeguarding discussion, incident learning, and development planning. Performance concerns are addressed promptly through structured management processes.
