Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of supported accommodation placements, housing-related support, and associated services provided by Global Medic (“the Service”, “we”, “us”, “our”). These terms apply to individuals placed in our accommodation, referring professionals, commissioners, families, and website users.

By accessing our services, making a referral, or residing in accommodation managed by us, you agree to these Terms and Conditions

2. Description of Services

We provide supported accommodation placements and structured support services for:

  • Young people aged 16+

  • Care leavers

  • Individuals with emotional or behavioural needs

  • Individuals experiencing mental health challenges

  • Adults with physical or sensory disabilities

  • Adults transitioning to independent living

  • Adults following brain injury rehabilitation

  • Older adults requiring structured support to maintain independence

Our services include:

  • Safe and stable accommodation

  • Housing-related support

  • Life skills development

  • Mental health-aware support environments

  • Key-worker sessions and structured support planning

  • Partnership working with professionals

Support is not a substitute for clinical or emergency medical care.

3. Placement Assessment and Acceptance

All placements are subject to a formal assessment process to determine suitability and safety. This assessment may include:

  • Review of referral documentation

  • Risk and needs assessment

  • Consultation with professionals and relevant parties

  • Compatibility with accommodation and support level

We reserve the right to accept or decline referrals based on safety, suitability, and service capability.

4. Accommodation Standards and Safety

All supported accommodation provided by us is:

  • Risk assessed prior to placement

  • Maintained to appropriate housing and safety standards

  • Managed to protect resident safety and wellbeing

  • Subject to ongoing safety monitoring and review

Residents are expected to respect the accommodation, staff, and other residents.

5. Support Provision

Support provided includes housing-related assistance, structured planning, and independence development. Support does not include:

  • Clinical mental health treatment

  • Medical care

  • Emergency intervention services

Residents remain responsible for engaging with healthcare providers where required.

6. Resident Responsibilities

Residents are expected to:

  • Respect staff, other residents, and property

  • Follow agreed support and safety plans

  • Maintain acceptable behaviour

  • Comply with property safety requirements

  • Participate in support planning where possible

Failure to comply may result in review or termination of placement.

7. Safeguarding and Risk Management

We operate safeguarding procedures to protect residents from harm. Where safeguarding risks are identified, we may share relevant information with appropriate authorities in accordance with safeguarding law and duty of care.

8. Confidentiality

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Notice and applicable data protection laws. Information is shared only where necessary for safety, support delivery, or legal compliance.

9. Limitation of Liability

We take all reasonable steps to provide safe accommodation and support. However, we are not liable for:

  • Actions outside our control

  • Resident actions outside agreed support

  • Events beyond reasonable operational control

Nothing in these terms limits liability where prohibited by law.

10. Termination of Placement

Placements may be ended where:

  • Placement is no longer suitable

  • Safety risks cannot be safely managed

  • Resident agreement conditions are seriously breached

  • Funding or placement agreements end

Where possible, reasonable notice will be given.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
